The 2020 assessment changes will be mailed on Friday August 7th. Any assessment which was changed will be published in the Herald News (Sections 4-9;11-13;17-20;24-26;28-36) on Wednesday August 12th and in the Times Weekly (Sections 1-3;10;14-16;21-23;27) on Thursday August 13th. The deadline to file an appeal with the Will County Board of Review is Monday September 14th.

Special Announcement for those with Exemption that require yearly renewals.
On Friday June 5th Senate Bill 685 was signed into law and created Public Act 101-635. Because of the uncertain times brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic Public Act 101-635 allows counties which meet a set of requirements to automatically approve certain exemptions without application for 2020.
The following exemptions will automatically be approved for any Will County resident who received the exemption in 2019 and are still residing in the same property for 2020. No renewal forms will be sent for the 2020 levy year.
- Senior Citizen Assessment Freeze Homestead Exemption (35 ILCS 200/15-172)
- Homestead Exemption for Persons with Disabilities (35 ILCS 200/15-168)
- Standard Homestead Exemption for veterans with Disabilities (35 ILCS 200/15-169)
